Toy Quest Challenges The Pre-Teen Market, and Wins
LOS ANGELES – January 5, 2005 – Pre-teen boys: the demographic that daunts every toy manufacturer. More and more every year turn their noses at traditional toys and thirst only for video games or electronic gadgets. One Los Angeles based toy manufacturer has not only snagged these kids’ attention, but they’ve got their motors running.
Toy Quest has quickly become the world’s leading manufacturer of electric vehicles by offering powerful, high quality vehicles that are convenient to purchase (they can be found along with the groceries at any local Wal-Mart) and easy to assemble (most come complete right out of the box). Kids can hardly believe the sense of ownership these bikes offer – a Minimoto? becomes their first real vehicle, equipped with everything from custom-made pneumatic tires to disc or drum brakes. Even with these realistic features, parents can sleep at night knowing that all Minimotos? go through rigorous safety testing and meet the highest standards for all product manufacturing.
With three vehicles on the market to date – the Sport Racer, the Maxii and the Go Kart – Toy Quest plans to introduce as many as ten Minimotos? by 2006, including an ATV, Dune Buggy, Cruiser and Hybrid Bike.
“The tremendous success of these vehicles have led to the introduction of a whole new category in the marketplace,” said Toy Quest President, Brian Dubinsky. “We’re reaching kids who had long ago rejected toys for video games and are now putting down their controllers for a ride on one of our powerful vehicles.”
As the demand is growing, more and more manufacturers are offering their versions of electric ride-ons for pre-teens; however, few have been able to offer the craftsmanship or realism of a Minimoto?. With features like rechargeable lead acid batteries, variable speed controls, unique “quick charging” systems, twist grip throttles, unique Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) stamped into each chassis and certificates of title for owners, Minimotos will remain the standard by which other electric vehicles will be compared.
The Minimoto? Sport Racer, Maxii and Go Kart are available at retail chains including Toys R Us and Wal-Mart, as well as leading auto parts retailers such as AutoZone, Pep Boys, Kragen, Checker and Schucks. |
