ToyQuest Announces Planet Care - A New Line of Environmentally Friendly Toys

February 22, 2008 (Los Angeles, CA) ToyQuest, a toy company known for creativity, innovation, and uniqueness, announced a new line of environmentally friendly toys called Planetcare at the New York Toy Fair. The line consists of wood, plastic, and plush items made with recycled components that are safe, non-toxic, and biodegradable. The line, targeted for children ages three and older, is perfect for the eco-conscious parent and will be available at retail this fall.

“We showcased the Planetcare line for the very first time at the Hong Kong Toy Fair in January and received an overwhelming positive response,” states Bob Del Principe, ToyQuest’s Vice President of Research and Development. “Retailers understand that this is a completely new line of merchandise and that, for many, will be featured in its own environmentally friendly section in the store.”

Planetcare is the first ever umbrella brand for a line of products that were designed specifically to help better the environment. ToyQuest designers took a new approach to developing these toys. They found a way to construct toys that are still fun and exciting for children, in a new, unique way with eco-friendly materials. In fact, every Planetcare toy helps prevent one less tree from getting cut down and one less drop of oil from being used.
Revive®, a durable, 100% recycled wood material, is used to make the wooden toys and is exclusive only to Planetcare. Revive® is made with a special technology that combines 100% recycled wood (aka unused wood scrap) with non-toxic, biodegradable compounds.

A specially formulated recycled plastic constructs the plastic toys, and organic cotton is used to make the plush products. Toys with an electronic component use built-in rechargeable batteries.

Only organically based dyes and paints are used on the products, and all Planetcare packaging is 100% recycled. All items are completely safe and have passed national and international safety regulations.

The Planetcare line ranges in price from $3.99-$49.99 and consists of items such as push toys, role play, vehicles, play sets, musical instruments, and plush animals.
