Video Books Bring Stories To Life
December 19, 2005 – Los Angeles, CA – ToyQuest takes reading to a new level with Video Books. Using sound and animation to capture young readers, Video Books are board books that bring stories to life.
Every Video Book features a built-in LCD screen with more than 80 different clips of sound and animation. As a story is read, the child is prompted to press the button of the corresponding shape on the video screen. When activated, the screen displays an animation that correlates with a particular page of the story. Every time the page is turned new animations appear. The child can experience an entirely different story every time.
Series 1 of the Video Books includes six titles: “Dinosaurs are Big Babies”, “Let’s Go to the Zoo”, “Where’s the Chick Counting Book”, “Dylan’s Pets”, “Leaping Lily”, and “Goodnight, Little Bug.” Licensed titles will be available in fall 2006.
“Kids love to interact with the story by pressing the buttons,” states ToyQuest product manager Gabrielle Rose. “Video Books engage the reader and keep a child’s attention because they don’t know what is coming next on the screen.”
Video Books retail for $14.99 and target children 18 months to 5 years of age.
